Head of Marketing
Head of Marketing & Communications
California, USA (Bay Area preferred) | Full-time | Reports to EVP
The Opportunity
We are a Spanish restaurant group bringing authentic Barcelona-inspired cuisine to the U.S. Currently operating 7 locations across California and Arizona, we have an ambitious growth plan to reach 22 locations by 2031. Recent and upcoming openings include Scottsdale, La Jolla (May 2026), and Newport Beach (June 2026).
We are seeking a strategic marketing leader — not a coordinator, not a tactician — but a high-level operator who will own brand, performance, and communications across the entire portfolio. This role will build the marketing function from the ground up, launch new markets, and drive measurable revenue growth.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth restaurant group early and shape how a culturally rooted brand scales across the U.S.
What You’ll Own
Brand & Strategy
• Full P&L accountability for marketing spend across all locations
• Brand positioning and differentiation in each new market
• Annual marketing strategy, budget allocation, and campaign calendar
• Competitive intelligence across all operating markets
Growth & Performance
• Drive same-store sales growth through local marketing, loyalty, and CRM initiatives
• Lead new location launch marketing (2–4 openings annually)
• Establish and achieve KPIs: customer acquisition cost, ROAS, repeat visit rate, review velocity
• Partner with external agencies on paid media and performance strategy
Team & Execution
• Manage and develop a growing marketing team
• Oversee social media, content, PR, influencer partnerships, and community engagement
• Manage creative, PR, and performance agency relationships
Communications & Reputation
• Own brand voice across all channels — social, web, email, and in-store
• Lead PR strategy including media outreach, press coverage, and award submissions
• Oversee crisis communication and online reputation management
• Represent the brand at industry events and cultivate strategic partnerships
Who You Are
• 8+ years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in multi-unit restaurants, hospitality, or fast-casual environments
• Growth-minded operator who connects campaigns directly to revenue and P&L impact
• Experienced in launching new locations and markets (pre-opening through stabilization)
• Data-fluent and comfortable leveraging analytics platforms and CRM tools to drive decisions
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to support cross-border collaboration
• Builder mentality — motivated to create and scale rather than maintain
Nice to Have
• International or multicultural experience
• Strong understanding of Mediterranean/European culinary positioning in the U.S. market
• Experience with franchise or multi-market brand expansion
• Established network within food media, influencer, and PR communities in California
What We Offer
• Competitive salary: USD 140,000 (base + performance incentive)
• Leadership visibility with direct access to executive team
• Opportunity to scale a culturally rooted restaurant concept nationally
• Fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment that values results over bureaucracy
