A premier, luxury hospitality group is seeking an exceptional and visionary Executive Chef to lead the culinary program at one of Aspen’s most iconic and culturally significant properties. This role is ideal for a chef with a distinct creative voice, refined technical foundation, and the leadership presence to inspire teams, engage guests, and operate at the highest level of the industry. The Executive Chef will oversee a multi-outlet culinary program and serve as a key ambassador for the property within Aspen’s vibrant dining and cultural landscape.
What You’ll Do
Culinary Vision & Execution
- Define and evolve a cohesive culinary identity rooted in seasonality, locality, and refined yet approachable execution
- Oversee multiple dining outlets, private dining, and in-room culinary experiences
- Balance creativity with consistency, ensuring menus are both innovative and operationally sound
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing culinary team
- Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous development
- Set clear standards while encouraging creativity and ownership at all levels
Operations & Financial Performance
- Lead all culinary operations with a strong business mindset
- Drive menu engineering, sourcing strategy, labor management, and cost controls
- Partner cross-functionally with Food & Beverage, Events, and Rooms teams to ensure seamless execution
Guest Experience & Brand Presence
- Serve as a visible culinary leader, engaging with guests, media, and community partners
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to support storytelling, programming, and brand positioning
- Contribute meaningfully to the local dining scene and broader cultural community
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including prior Executive Chef roles in luxury hotels, destination restaurants, or private clubs
- Proven success overseeing multi-outlet or complex dining operations doing $20M in revenues
- Strong foundation in classical technique with a modern, ingredient-driven approach
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and operational systems
- Polished communicator with the ability to represent a brand at a high level
- A grounded, hospitality-first mindset with an appreciation for community and guest connection
