A neighborhood restaurant group behind a successful wine bar is launching an exciting new restaurant concept in the West Village, opening Q1 2025. This intimate 38-seat space, built around a central bar,
blends the warmth of a private residence with vibrant hospitality. They are seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary vision and operations.
About the Role
As Executive Chef, you’ll be the culinary leader, responsible for:
● Menu Development: Crafting seasonal, creative dishes aligned with our culinary vision.
● Kitchen Leadership: Recruiting, training, managing and mentoring a small BOH team.
● Operations: Overseeing food preparation, procurement, and inventory while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.
● Collaboration: Partnering with ownership and front of house team to ensure the kitchen’s operational and financial success.
What We’re Looking For
● Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar culinary leadership role
● Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
● Expertise in classic and modern cooking techniques, with a passion for creativity and seasonal sourcing.
● Strong hospitality culture and problem solving mindset
● Curiosity and fostering a learning culture
● Familiarity with NYC Department of Health regulations (Food Handler’s Certification required).
● Proficiency in inventory, cost management, and technology tools.
● NYC references (2 previous employers minimum)
Compensation & Benefits
● Salary: $110k–$130k (based on experience)
