About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Leisure Sales to lead strategic leisure sales efforts and drive revenue through relationships with high-end travel advisors, agency groups, and luxury consortia.
This individual will serve as a key ambassador for the brand within the luxury travel community, developing and strengthening relationships with top-producing accounts while identifying new opportunities to grow leisure business across the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within the luxury travel industry, a proven history of managing high-value accounts, and the ability to represent a luxury hospitality brand at the highest level. This is a highly relationship-driven role requiring someone who is proactive, polished, commercially minded, and comfortable spending significant time in the field and traveling to key feeder markets and properties.
This position is based in Boston with regular travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic leisure sales initiatives designed to drive revenue across the portfolio.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with top-producing luxury travel advisors, agency groups, and consortia.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop targeted strategies to increase production from key feeder markets.
- Manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, serving as a trusted partner and primary point of contact.
- Develop account plans and strategies to maximize production, retention, and long-term relationship value.
- Represent the organization at luxury travel conferences, trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and industry functions.
- Conduct regular market visits and sales calls within key feeder markets.
- Travel regularly to portfolio properties to maintain a strong understanding of the guest experience, offerings, and unique selling points of each destination.
- Collaborate with property leadership and internal sales teams to align leisure sales strategies with overall revenue goals.
- Monitor account production, market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the luxury travel sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners and luxury travel networks.
- Create compelling presentations, sales materials, and client experiences that effectively communicate the portfolio’s unique value proposition.
- Participate in client entertainment, property visits, familiarization trips, and other relationship-building activities.
- Represent the organization with professionalism, sophistication, and a strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in luxury leisure sales within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of managing and growing high-producing luxury accounts.
- Strong existing relationships with luxury travel advisors, agency groups, and/or luxury consortia.
- Boutique hotel, luxury resort, or high-end hospitality experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of the luxury leisure travel market and key feeder markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business while maintaining and expanding existing relationships.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand account production and revenue opportunities.
- Polished and confident representing a luxury hospitality brand with high-level clients and industry partners.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and resourceful approach to sales.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to key feeder markets, industry events, and portfolio properties.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with property and corporate leadership teams.
