Regional Director of Sales & Marketing | Luxury Lifestyle Hotels

The Opportunity

Lifestyle luxury hotel brand is seeking an accomplished Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to oversee the commercial strategy for two distinctive luxury lifestyle properties in Northern California. This exciting opportunity combines leadership of an established, design-forward luxury boutique hotel in San Francisco with the highly anticipated opening of an iconic lakefront resort in Lake Tahoe. The resort, scheduled to open in 2027, will feature approximately 200 guest rooms and suites, destination dining, extensive wellness facilities, entertainment venues, and a casino. The San Francisco property is an established luxury lifestyle hotel with a strong design identity and a focus on corporate, group, and leisure business.

Together, these properties present a unique opportunity for a commercially driven hospitality executive to shape the sales and marketing strategy across two distinct markets while playing a pivotal role in a significant luxury resort opening.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position requiring a sophisticated understanding of luxury hospitality, strong business development capabilities, and the ability to lead commercial teams across multiple properties.

The position will initially be based in San Francisco for approximately 9–12 months, with regular travel to Lake Tahoe. Following this period, there is flexibility to be based at either property.

  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strategic relationships across the San Francisco and Lake Tahoe markets.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts, luxury travel advisors, corporate clients, meeting planners, and industry partners.

  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture across two distinct operating environments.
  • Partner closely with property executive teams and corporate leadership to align commercial priorities with overall business objectives.

Marketing, Brand Positioning & Communications

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans tailored to each property's positioning and target audience.

Revenue Strategy & Financial Performance

  • Partner with Revenue Management and Reservations to optimize pricing, inventory, distribution, and overall revenue performance.
  • Maintain accountability for sales budgets, forecasting, production goals, and commercial performance across both properties.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and business performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive performance across occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, group production, and overall revenue generation.
  • Develop and execute strategies that balance short-term revenue objectives with long-term market positioning.

Pre-Opening & Regional Market Leadership

  • Lead commercial planning and business development initiatives supporting the opening of a landmark luxury resort.
  • Establish key relationships with corporate accounts, luxury travel partners, meeting planners, and regional business leaders ahead of opening.
  • Develop a sophisticated understanding of both the San Francisco urban hospitality market and the Lake Tahoe luxury resort landscape.
  • Represent both properties at industry events, client meetings, and strategic networking opportunities.
  • Ensure each property maintains a distinct market identity while benefiting from a cohesive regional commercial strategy.
