Boutique Hotel in the Cape Cod & Island Region is looking for a General Manager to direct and oversee all aspects of property management, prioritizing financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development while upholding the highest quality standards. Engage in the recruitment, training, retention, and management of hotel personnel to build a disciplined and motivated team. Demonstrate adeptness at addressing guest concerns with empathy and

professionalism while remaining receptive to feedback. Efficiently juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Collaborate effectively with ownership and hotel staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster an environment dedicated to consistent guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Recommend or initiate corrective measures to enhance and verify operational outcomes.
  • Uphold service and product quality by conducting regular evaluations and investigating complaints, followed by prompt action.
  • Support the recruitment, interviewing, training, scheduling and retention of staff, ensuring alignment with company values.
  • Maintain harmony in a shared office. Model open and effective communication and presence at the front desk and across departments through regular meetings and concise “Five Minute Trainings”.
  • Strategically plan, direct, and supervise staff activities, verifying task completion.
  • Conduct routine property tours, including a minimum of five room inspections weekly, to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure prompt, empathetic handling of guest concerns, delivering resolutions that satisfy both the guest and hotel’s service commitment.
  • Work with on site ownership in all aspects of hotel management.


Requirements:

  • 5-7 years in hotel management with proven leadership success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of hotel finances, including commissions, OTA, Credits and Debits.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in property management systems and general software.
  • Staff management including schedules.
