General Manager – QSR
Reports to: Ownership / Operations Leadership

Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of restaurant operations, from pre-opening setup and hiring through daily execution and long-term performance. This role oversees the guest experience, financial results, team development, and compliance for a fast-paced QSR concept in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Lead pre-opening setup, hiring, training, and launch readiness.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and guest experience across all dayparts.
- Manage POS systems, cash controls, reporting, and compliance with NYC regulations.
- Oversee third-party delivery platforms and support catering sales growth.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment at all times.
Financial Management
- Manage labor, sales, and controllable costs to hit store performance goals.
- Review P&L, identify trends, and take action to improve profitability.
- Oversee cash handling, deposits, and daily reporting.
- Partner with ownership on forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, and manage a team of approximately 15 employees.
- Train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders.
- Build schedules that align with sales forecasts and labor targets.
- Foster a positive, guest-obsessed culture with high standards.
Kitchen & Food Safety Partnership
- Partner with the Kitchen Manager on food quality, ticket times, inventory, and food safety.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Support inventory management and vendor coordination as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of restaurant management experience.
- GM, Restaurant Manager, or strong AGM background in QSR, fast casual, or high-volume casual dining.
- Experience with hiring, training, scheduling, and team development.
- Strong understanding of P&L, labor, inventory, and operating budgets.
- Experience with online ordering and delivery platforms.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and NYC restaurant compliance.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- U.S. work authorization.
Preferred
- Pre-opening experience.
- Toast POS experience.
- Chinese or Hong Kong-style restaurant experience.
- Cantonese or Mandarin language skills.
- NYC Food Protection Certificate.
Work Environment
Fast-paced quick-service restaurant environment. Extended time on feet, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
