Position: Director of Sales

Reports to: Managing Director

Overview:

Seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue growth and market expansion for a luxury hotel property in New York City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with financial goals.
  • Prepare and manage the annual sales budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Lead and mentor the Sales team, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
  • Collaborate with operations, F&B, and membership teams for cohesive property performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies.
  • Partner with leadership on commercial strategy and revenue alignment.
  • Oversee sales contracts, ensuring compliance and revenue optimization.
  • Analyze sales performance and adjust based on data-driven insights.
  • Conduct sales meetings, manage lead pipeline, and monitor conversions.
  • Organize and participate in site tours, tradeshows, and sales trips.
  • Ensure cost control and budget adherence.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a luxury hotel sales leadership role.
  • Strong background in transient sales preferred.
  • Proficient in hotel systems (Opera PMS, Tripleseat) and analytics tools (STR, Agency360).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven record of exceeding sales goals.
