DESCRIPTION:

This Training and Operations Manager position is a hybrid role with a focus on training and operations support for two national QSR food brands with franchises across the country (and internationally). The Training and Operations Manager will enhance and optimize the brand experience by mastering in-store and restaurant operations and train employees and franchise owners. 

The Training and Operations Manager will oversee the headquarters retail location, support in-store testing, assist with the design and implementation of educational programs, provide field support, conduct new store openings, and complete assigned projects in a timely manner.

This person should be organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, customer focused, tech savvy, and have proven success in operations and training. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making people smile through training, food operational systems, and knows how to drive measurable results.

This position is stationed in our headquarters office. 50% of their time is spent leading assigned projects, submitting testing results, enhancing standard operational procedures/training materials, leading new franchisee training programs, addressing facility and machinery concerns, and troubleshooting with franchisees, and overseeing the implementation of these items. 20% of their time will be in the headquarters store/restaurant locations overseeing and trouble shooting operations.  30% of their time will be spent traveling, conducting new store openings or franchisee training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the successful operation of company owned training store and drive KPI’s.
  • Execute brand-specific programs to enable the achievement of operational goals.
  • Analyze gaps in-store systems and provide updates for continuous improvement.
  • Improve the in-store experience by increasing efficiencies and reducing costs.
  • Conduct field support programs as needed and travel when store support is needed.
  • Develop educational materials including manuals, job aids, and videos.
  • Research, track, and analyze business metrics to determine trends and variances and identify areas for positive change.
  • Develop improvement plans to align efficient business operations with customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and /or assist in the delivery of various training programs for new and existing franchisees and team.
  • Serve as a liaison between all departments and the in-store experience to achieve cohesive results.
  • Required to travel when needed.
  • Strategize standard operating procedures and training plans that drive service excellence and support brand initiatives.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and long hours for field support and as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or 2-4 years of restaurant or retail operations experience preferred but not required
  • Corporate training experience preferred
  • Franchise operations experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative worker, and team building ability
  • Comfortable giving presentations and teaching large groups
  • Demonstrated track record for flexibility and urgency in prioritizing and organizing projects
  • Comfortable with new technology which includes but not limited to computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and various POS systems
  • Strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills are a must
