DESCRIPTION:

Beautiful luxury resort in remote Central California Coast is seeking Sous Chef to join culinary team. The sous chef will report to the Executive chef and will help oversee BOH operations for property restaurant, IRD, Pool, Events and smokehouse at sister property. Ideal candidate will have experience cooking in fine dining kitchens with impeccable technical skills. Cal-Med cuisine with focus on letting the nature of ingredients shine through Рhealthy, delicious and beautiful presentation. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to commute up to 50 mins one-way (gas stipend provided)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • 3 years or more of progressive hotel Culinary experience¬†
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • At least 2 years experience in a managerial role, preferable at sous chef level
  • BBQ/open fire cooking experience a MAJOR plus!
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume property, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and associate relations, and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be eligible to work in the US for any employer
