Salary: $70,000 – $85,000
Established hospitality group seeks an experienced Senior Accountant. This position will work under the Director of Finance and will collaborate on all essential accounting responsibilities for the multi-unit brand including review of financial documents, payroll oversight, COGS management. This ideal candidate has hospitality experience along with a keen attention for detail and desire to join a growing brand.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts review
Evaluate and post accruals and adjustment Journal Entries
Sort and code all cash transactions monthly
Perform the reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card receivables
Partner with Accounts Payable to confirm accurate classification of expenses and assist with challenging vendor issues
Reconcile Accounts Receivable payments to confirm timely collection of client balances
Reconcile and post monthly Food and Beverage Inventories and analyze monthly COGS to confirm accuracy of costs
Prepare Fixed Asset depreciation schedules
Update Accruals and Prepaid schedules
In charge of Audit files and schedules preparation and other projects as needed
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting
3-4 years General Ledger Accounting experience minimum
Strong understanding of GAAP, accruals and prepaid expenses
Very good Excel proficiency required
Solid experience with accounting software a must, and with Compeat a plus
Retail or Hospitality experience a plus
