Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Kitchen Manager to lead our high-volume, upscale restaurant's kitchen operations. The Kitchen Manager will function as the AGM with a strong focus on BOH operations, primarily ensuring smooth kitchen operations, exceptional culinary experiences, and overall operational excellence.
- Kitchen Management:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, and presentation, ensuring the highest quality and standards are maintained.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and procurement of kitchen supplies, while optimizing costs and minimizing waste.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards to provide a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Menu Development and Execution:
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu offerings that align with our upscale concept, considering seasonality and guest preferences.
- Ensure consistent and timely execution of menu items to meet guest expectations and maintain kitchen efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to kitchen staff, aiming for skill development and career growth within the team.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Implement effective operational processes and systems to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and enhance food quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline communication and coordination, optimizing overall restaurant performance.
- Guest Experience:
- Monitor guest feedback related to kitchen experiences, responding promptly to concerns, and leveraging positive feedback to enhance culinary offerings and service.
- Financial Management:
- Contribute to budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives, ensuring alignment with revenue targets and profitability goals.
- Manage kitchen labor costs and operational expenses to achieve financial objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar culinary leadership role within a high-volume, upscale dining environment.
- Strong culinary and kitchen management skills, including menu development, food cost analysis, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
