Kitchen Manager | Fast Casual Mediterranean 

About the Role

Were seeking a strong Kitchen Manager to join the team at a fast paced location in Chelsea. This person will be in charge of our kitchen, will help manage the FOH team, and will be responsible for creating a fun, professional work environment for employees as well as an incredible dining experience for customers.

They will be in charge of ensuring that the food, service and overall experience is the best it can be.

This is a salaried, full-time position with a flexible start date. Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ultimate ownership of all restaurant operations.
  • Manage a team of FOH and BOH staff including servers, runners, prep cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers.
  • Responsibilities include training, salary and tip management, hiring/firing and scheduling.
  • Manage all takeout orders, from delivery platforms (UberEats, GrubHub & DoorDash) and our online ordering system (Toast), to make sure every order is prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Experience with a variety of kitchen tasks preferred, including strong knife skills and the ability to manage a station from prep to service.
  • Ultimate responsibility for cleanliness and upkeep of the physical space.
  • Personality is key. This person must be charismatic, excited about what were doing. 
  • Cultivate a fun and professional dining experience for customers.
  • Desire to have fun and join a unique kitchen atmosphere is required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of restaurant experience preferred (ideally as both front and back of house)
  • 1+ years of experience as a line cook or kitchen manager preferred
  • Knowledge of Toast is a plus.
  • Must be an excellent problem solver and a quick learner.
  • Must be a people person, and thrive in a work environment that requires collaboration with others.
