Salary: $90000 – $105,000


A legendary resort set in the rolling hills in the Santa Ynez Valley known for its great food and outdoors adventure opportunities seeks a talented resort chef with a background in hotel/resort banquets to be a hands on leader at multiple outlets (remote and on site) and events. 

Under direction of the Executive Chef, the hotel chef is responsible for all aspects of the kitchen such as menu plans, operations, recipes, financial responsibility, portion and inventory control, food quality, and employee supervision.

  • Provides leadership training and hands-on management of the kitchen staff. In charge of executing the food in the main kitchen, drives menu design and kitchen creativity, and is responsible for growing and developing the product and profitability of the food service program.
  • Provides a consistent product and experience achieving revenue targets and managing costs as well as ensures all staff under direct supervision are focused and demonstrating a guest-centric attitude and culture.
  • Provide the highest level of service to our guests.  


  • Requires 2-3 years as an Hotel or Resort Chef or higher level in a resort setting, Serve Safe certification
  • Should have at least 1 year of strong Banquet Chef experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience in a professional and busy kitchen or restaurant environment,
  • Must have high volume banquet experience
  • Food Service card issued by State of California
  • strong communication and leadership skills, and a passion for good food and local ingredients.
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Position is full-time, exempt.
