Job Title: US Head of Operations  


Location USA (Flexible with travel training will take place in the UK)

A Head of Operations,

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Head of Operations, USA to lead the exciting launch, one of the

UK’s most beloved fast-casual dining brands, starting with New York. This is a rare opportunity for a driven individual to

spearhead our expansion into the U.S. market. The successful candidate would be a visionary leader, with a passion for

hospitality, who fully understands the success drivers of a fast casual business, with an entrepreneurial spirit.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

- Set up and lead operational processes across all locations in the US.

- Ensure operational consistency and efficiency, adhering to brand standards for food quality, customer experience,

and sustainability.

- Expert in the ergonomics of kitchens with fresh food production.


2. Team Building & Leadership

  - Recruit, train, and manage high-performing teams in the US.

  - Work closely with the leadership team in the UK to ensure operational alignment across both regions.

  - Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the team in line with core values.

  - Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews to ensure team accountability.


3. Regulatory Compliance

  - Ensure that all US operations comply with local food safety, labour laws, and industry regulations.

  - Manage health & safety protocols and compliance standards for all US locations.


4. Financial Management

  - Expert in delivering KPIs, profitability and operational efficiency through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost

control.

  - Monitor and analyze performance metrics (e.g., revenue, labour costs, food costs) to improve financial outcomes.

  - Partner with the finance team to forecast operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.


5. Customer Experience & Feedback

  - Build and maintain a strong focus on customer service excellence in the US.

  - Implement feedback loops and continuous improvement mechanisms based on customer reviews and operational

data.


6. Growth & Scalability


  - Identify and act on opportunities for growth, including new locations, partnerships, and market segments.

  - Develop scalable processes to enable to grow efficiently in the US market  - Identify areas of operational

inefficiency and design solutions to improve processes.

  - Implement technology solutions and automation to support growth and scalability.

  - Manage and optimize resources to enhance operational capacity and performance.

  - Collaborate with the executive team to set and align operational objectives with overall business goals and reduce

bottlenecks.

  - Provide insights and recommendations to drive company growth and expansion.

  - Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate operational risks and challenges.


7. Stakeholder Management:

  - Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and key clients.

  - Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  - Represent operations in executive meetings, providing insights and updates on key initiatives.


Key Qualifications & Experience

Proven Leadership. experience in a senior operations role within the fast casual or food service industry multi-location

operations, with at least 8 years’ experience.

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. MBA preferred.

Market Expansion. Demonstrated experience in leading a brand expansion, into the US market.

Financial Acumen. Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management in a high-growth, multi-unit

business.

Regulatory Knowledge with US health, safety, and labour regulations in the food service industry.

Exemplary leadership skills with a history of building, managing and inspiring happy high-performance teams across

different locations and cultures.

Exceptional problem solver. Ability to think strategically and solve complex operational challenges in a fast-paced

environment.

Proficient in data analysis and operational metrics, with a focus on driving efficiencies.

Experience with operational technology tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
