Salary: $90,000 – $100,000

Intimate and welcoming Asian American cuisine with national acclaim and recognition from the James Beard Foundation, The New Yorker, Vogue, and Resy, is searching for an experienced GM to join our passionate team. Ideally we would like to onboard a GM who will also open our new concept next summer and eventually grow into the Director of Operations role.

This position will work closely with the Chef Owner and lead our FOH team.
This is a leadership role with immense room for growth, as we plan to open new and exciting restaurant concepts in the next few years.

Do You Have These Skills & Experience?

  • At least 3 years of experience in a concept-driven, high-volume restaurant (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Previous experience in opening new restaurant concepts, building out a team, and implementing FOH and HR systems, strongly preferred
  • High interest and understanding of Asian cuisine, beverages, and culture
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Knowledgeable in creating sophisticated beverage programs, including cocktails and wine list
  • Familiarity with fast-paced restaurant dynamic and knows how to handle stress
  • Working knowledge of standard restaurant management tools (Toast POS/Payroll, Excel, Quickbooks, Resy, etc.)

What to Expect on the Job
Day-to-Day Operations

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day restaurant operations
  • Exemplify good hospitality; guide and motivate our team in creating an exceptional guest experience
  • Manage inventories (beverage, glassware, silverware, etc.) and strengthen relationships with suppliers
  • Manage restaurant operations email
  • Manage weekly payroll
  • Maintain a safe and healthy facility by following and enforcing Department of Health and other regulations and restaurant standards

Long-Term Structures & Leadership

  • Work with leadership team to develop and implement effective FOH systems and help adapt these systems to new restaurant openings
  • Support setting up new food and beverage menus as well as sharing input on existing menu
  • Work closely with our Head of Strategy/Development to create HR infrastructure and shape employee benefits
  • Collaborate regularly with leadership team to develop strategies to manage restaurant financials, including F&B and labor costs
