Salary: $85,000 – $95,000
Creative, hospitality driven concept is seeking a GM for their new restaurant and gathering space opening in Summer of 2023 for a close-knit community in Bovina, NY. Nestled in the Delaware River Valley just north-west of the Catskills, this region is ripe with farmers markets, agricultural ventures and creative endeavors.
This Tavern focused concept which also houses a 5 room Inn is seeking a General Manager with experience and the right personality to cultivate the concept with positive energy while overseeing all aspects of FOH operations to high-quality standards. As a new restaurant, it is essential that the GM lays the foundation for a warm, welcoming and well-run space. They will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth operations and delivery of quality food and beverage service in addition to fostering a well-cared for team. Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Minimum 2 years of experience in full service restaurant management
NYS Food Handler’s Certification
Selecting and setting up the POS system
Detail oriented with a sense of urgency
Self-starter and problem solver
Clear and up-front communication
Foster a healthy and inspiring work environment for all members of staff
Opening and Closing managerial duties/administrative tasks
Experience with hiring, training, overseeing and setting schedules for FOH staff
Experience with budgeting and forecasting of finances,
Experience with ordering, inventory, costing, etc.
Troubleshoot challenging situations as they arise with grace and respect
Ability to lead a team and delegate responsibilities
Passion and appreciation for the hospitality industry
Excellent reading, written and oral proficiency of English.
