- Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation.
- Create and update seasonal menus, ensuring a balance of traditional Italian dishes and modern interpretations.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to minimize waste and control costs.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and ensure compliance with all health regulations.
- Develop and implement creative specials and promotions to attract and retain customers.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve financial goals and control food and labor costs.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of culinary excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in Italian cuisine.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Italian culinary techniques and ingredients.
- Creativity and innovation in menu development.
- Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
- Food safety certification and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
