Executive Chef – Opening

Salary: $105000 – $115000

Position: Executive Chef for a NEW OPENING American Brasserie in Islip Long Island.  You will participate in launching and training your new team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all back of house operations 
Understand and follow all P&L topics including but not limited to labor, food cost… 
Process weekly inventory and ordering 
Manage all Culinary operations including scheduling, planning, and forecasting while
upholding and championing standards, product quality, and cleanliness 
Lead inspiring pre-shift meetings with a focus on on-going training to maintain a
consistent, quality menu and to control the delivery and description of the items from
the pass to the table. 
Lead and communicate regularly the goals and expectations for remarkable service,
profitable results, and future initiatives 
Exemplify and recognize remarkable acts of leadership and hospitality providers to
exceeding the guest experience 
Maintain adequate staffing levels and be responsible for the selection, onboarding, and
retention of Team Members, providing motivation, recognition, coaching, and
Regularly measure and evaluate service standards by using various feedback tools to
develop and implement plans for continuous improvement 
Responsibly delegate and follow up on tasks while remaining accountable overall for
restaurant and Team Members
Conduct daily line checks, property walkthroughs, and equipment maintenance
inspection in accordance with Company standards 
Minimize waste and maximize thorough usage of food through careful ordering, proper
and well-organized storage, use of proven recipes, and creative use of leftover food
Delivering Remarkable Results
6+ years experience in an executive culinary role
Culinary degree preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of current restaurant trends
Must possess culinary creativity
Comfortable providing guidance and supervision to kitchen staff
