Expanding luxury hotel brand is seeking a Director of HR to oversee all aspects of their newest luxury outpost in NYC. The HR Director is responsible for the good social climate within the hotel. This is global company with strong roots in European hospitality. HRD will oversee all aspects of the Tribeca based property which include recruitment, onboarding, training plan and benefits. They will be responsible for monitoring the implementation and respect of standards, regulations and procedures in force in his business end. As part of the opening process, they will also be responsible for setting up organizations and all the tools and processes of his profession. This is a great opportunity for a Team leader, who values communication, trust, is efficient and organized to take the reigns and grow team and company.

DESCRIPTION:
Employee Relations

  • Accountable for the administration, advice and guidance on all employee life cycle matters .
  • Assist management and leadership team in resolving employee relation issues, conducting effective investigations; recommending action for sensitive and complex situations; and provide risk mitigation solutions.
  • Provide labor/employment law support and guidance to management, referring to local legal counsel when necessary.

Talent Management

  • Provide support and guidance to leaders and managers on recruitment and selection.
  • Work with leaders to ensure performance management is being effectively deployed .
  • Collate and analyze data and trends to identify high and low performance and take appropriate action.
  • Create and deliver appropriate training plan and development programs.
  • To be leader to successfully create succession plans and career development.

Reward | Recognition

  • Manage the annual bonus and salary reviews.
  • Support and advise the leaders with benefit and salary benchmarking data, specific to region, to ensure the business remains competitive within its market.
  • Highlight and advise on equality of pay in relation to protected characteristics to ensure a fair reward and recognition framework.

Reporting | Analytics

  • Understand, analyze and interpret people data to support business direction/planning and objectives.
  • Provide relevant HR information/reports on a regular basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a general HR role in Hospitality industry is MANDATORY
  • Experience in a similar position of at least 5 years
  • Knowledge of F&B sector is a plus
  • Organized, rigorous, trustworthy person who knows how to work in a team. Recognized for their diplomacy and organizational skills
  • Member of the hotel’s Management Committee
  • Close collaboration with the HR team at headquarters located in France
