Stylish & Chic Boutique hotel is seeking a Director of Event Sales for their new opening project. This is a creative and on trend event space. The Director of Event Sales sells, plans, communicates, executes, and oversees all events booked in F&B outlet spaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a hospitality group with smart, sharp and stylish event opportunities. Experience with high end clientele preferred.


  • Directs and oversees the planning and execution of all events booked in F&B outlet spaces
  • Creates departmental strategies and specific objectives for the Team and the department to stay relevant while meeting and exceeding sales & profitability goals
  • Works closely with F&B leadership Teams in Sales, FOH & BOH to ensure consistency, efficiency & service
  • Oversees distribution and communication of Events Calendar
  •  Maintains and distributes booking guidelines in all outlets, adjusting to accommodate business levels
  • Monitors and controls event budgets and negotiates all necessary contracts
  •  Submits sales & commissions reports monthly
  • Work with culinary team to build out event menus and package pricing
  • Work with platform partners to list outlets on venue search engines
  • Holds weekly events meeting with leadership Team
  • Prospects accounts to promote business development
  • Create and maintain relationships with local vendors and clients
  • Communicate with hotel team on overall strategy and business levels
  • Liaise with marketing & PR teams to oversee:
o Marketing events structure
o Marketing & PR event leads and walk throughs
o New and prospective event partnerships and initiatives
o Determines cost of all marketing & sales events & submits to DOSM to allocate
to Sales Budget

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a field of study related to this profession; 2 years of experience in a comparable position and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Detailed Food and Beverage knowledge; demonstrated strong leadership and strategic planning skills; and proven achievements in optimizing guest and team member engagement and financial performance
  • Experience successfully leading in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing demands
  • Strong interpersonal, team member relations and leadership abilities
  • Well versed in Food & Beverage financial aspects
  • Technically savvy and familiar with Food & Beverage operating/budgeting systems and spreadsheets
  •  Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Professional & appropriate business appearance and demeanor
