
Dining Room Manager | Notable NYC Mediterranean Restaurant

As a Dining Room Manager, you are an ambassador of hospitality who is passionate about serving others and making people feel genuinely welcomed while maintaining high standards within the operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ï‚· Great (written and verbal) communication skills, with a polished floor presence, professional
demeanor and appearance
ï‚· Engage with guests and colleagues in a professional and dignified manner in a busy, high-volume
environment while exhibiting high-level of hospitality at all times
ï‚· Maintain integrity of service and proactively communicate with fellow managers to address any
potential negative guest experiences
ï‚· Uphold our mission statement while promoting the restaurant's culture and positively representing the
company consistently
ï‚· Ensure that all guests and team members feel genuinely welcomed and fundamentally honored.
ï‚· Be an advocate of all internal policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and
training programs.
ï‚· Help monitor and achieve company objectives in sales, service standards, and quality.
ï‚· Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and
timely manner.
ï‚· Continually strive to coach, develop, and guide FOH staff to maintain operational excellence.
ï‚· Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and
consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
ï‚· Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that
pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
ï‚· Provide advice and suggestions to the restaurant’s General Manager as needed by engaging in
collaborative discussions to effectively generate revenue and increase profit.
ï‚· Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned by the General Manager
Position Requirements:
ï‚· Able to stand for up to 10 hours daily and may be required to lift up to 30lbs.
ï‚· Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task when needed
ï‚· Proficiency in Open Table, VENGA, Toast, 7shifts, Hotschedules preferred
ï‚· Familiarity with Office 365 and MicroSoft applications
ï‚· Ability to work independently and make the right decisions for the business
ï‚· Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary

Ideal Experience:
ï‚· 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and/or Restaurant Management, or
related major, preferred or 3+ years of experience in a similar position
ï‚· Must have NYS food handler’s certificate
ï‚· In-depth knowledge of food principles and best practices
ï‚· Passion for creating incredible food that delights and attracts customers
ï‚· Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
ï‚· Ability to thrive in a high-volume/high-pressure environment
ï‚· Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
ï‚· Ability to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business needs
