DESCRIPTION:
New restaurant opening in Menlo Park! Traditional Italian cuisine featuring local farmers and produce to create an authentic Italian dining experience with a California neighborhood feel. We are seeking a Chef de Cuisine that is a strong leader to provide guidance and coaching for our kitchen team. The CDC will be responsible for leading line-ups, providing support in the kitchen during service, upholding and elevating our service standards and providing strong communication with the dining room and private events team. This is a full service restaurant that prides itself on harnessing Italian culture, providing a true neighborhood experience through warm hospitality and generous spirit. Showing love for friends, family and community through food & wine is the heart of our brand and creates a fun and healthy work environment. Position reports directly to Culinary Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on authentic Italian cuisine, fresh local produce and genuine hospitality
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health and safety
- Strong communication & organizational skills with precise attention to detail
- Strong team leadership & development skills
- Ability to hold others accountable for following company standards & procedures
- Participation in weekly manager meetings, financial oversight, scheduling and work towards cultivating a healthy team dynamic
- Management experience preferred
