Beverage Director

Summary:

The Beverage Director is responsible for all aspects of the beverage program at the specified restaurant/ rooftop bar and outdoor venue. This includes but is not limited to inventory, maintenance, costing and selection and being the beverage point person for the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Manage beverage purchasing, beverage menu designing, marketing of new products and VIP customer requests

Lead bartenders in everyday functions and assist with inventory control

Interview, select, train, supervise, schedule, mentor and counsel associates accordingly and oversee alcoholic beverage training for front-of-house Food & Beverage staff

Communicate and build strong relationships with vendors

Provide direct service to guests as needed, including, but not limited to, serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, bartending when needed

Must Haves:

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of leadership experience in an upscale craft cocktail program environment with a demonstrated knowledge of wines, spirits, beers and craft cocktails. Strong organizational and leadership skills are required. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft, and Outlook.
